摘要: This paper presents a case study of the relationship between farmers' knowledge maize varieties and their selection management these under conditions technological change. Research for this was done among Spanish-speaking small farmers in an ejidoof central Chiapas, Mexico. ejido is well integrated into market, use modem technologies widespread. research demonstrates that have extensive widely shared varieties. reflects objective characteristics. Variation occurs varieties, but on average variation deviates from random pattern direction predicted by base. They incorporated changes brought about development Farmers maintain with contrasting traits, base provides important information which traits constraints are to them.
