摘要: Abstract A study is made of the shape dependence various terms appearing in nuclear droplet model Myers and Swiatecki. The new which arise here beyond those encountered liquid drop are due to curvature correction surface energy, compressibility redistribution density caused by Coulomb force. Shell pairing energies omitted because they have their origin microscopic rather than macroscopic structure nuclei. shape-dependent results used with a variety parameterizations calculate saddle point shapes corresponding fission barrier. Various properties these given such as barrier heights, geometrical properties, normal modes oscillation. stability reflection symmetric points against asymmetric distortions also investigated. Of enter this only one has major influence on saddle-point energy. For reasonable estimates constants other produce small effects. Large values coefficient favor formation secondary minimum heavy elements. super elements gives rise possibility quasi molecular states. energy shown scission configurations.
