摘要: A study was conducted to investigate the effect of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst on mercury (Hg) speciation in bituminous and subbituminous coal combustion flue gases. Three different Illinois Basin coals (from high low sulfur [S] chlorine [Cl]) one Powder River (PRB) with very S Cl were tested a pilot-scale combustor equipped an SCR reactor for controlling nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions. The induced oxidation elemental Hg (Hg 0 ), decreasing percentage at outlet values 12% three tests. PRB test indicated by catalyst, from 96% inlet 80% outlet. content corresponding level available gas species believed be responsible this type. results strong type extent oxidation.
