摘要: Abstract Agriculture represents a sector typically characterized by high water demand. On the other hand, limited fresh availability is problem of increasing concern worldwide. The reuse treated wastewater (TWW) for edible crop irrigation could be an efficient strategy reducing shortage. However, TWW poses risks both environment and human health due to transfer chemical contamination from soil crops. This chapter discusses behavior various categories organic micropollutants (OMPs) in wastewater/soil/edible systems, with particular reference pharmaceutical compounds (PhCs). Moreover, assessment risk associated intake several fruits vegetables contaminated OMPs was performed some model contaminants widely investigated literature. Data were reviewed using search engines Google Scholar SciFinder, referred time intervals 2010 or 2005 today PhCs OMPs, respectively.
