摘要: Previous studies have suggested that Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 13, recognized as atypical in many paleoclimate records, is marked by the development of anomalously strong summer monsoons northern tropical areas. To test this hypothesis, we performed a multi-proxy study on three marine records from Indian Ocean order to reconstruct and analyse changes monsoon winds precipitations during MIS 13. Our data confirm existence low-salinity event 13 equatorial but argue should not be considered “atypical”. Taking only into account smaller precession does make it possible explain such precipitation episode. However, when considering also larger obliquity more complete orbitally driven “model,” one can successfully event. In addition, our suggest intense winds, although strength, prevailed western Arabian Sea. These transporting important moisture, together with effect insolation Eurasian ice sheet, are likely factors responsible for signal recorded China loess, model simulations.
