摘要: Abstract This paper highlights the effect of operation temperature on performance a photovoltaic-biased electrosynthetic cell (PV-EC) device for solar hydrogen production based triple junction thin film silicon cell. The influence in range from 25 °C to 60 °C was studied individually all components device: cell, evolving cathode, oxygen anode, and electrolyte. Based experimental data, overall temperature-dependent current–voltage characteristics complete PV-EC modeled by merging individual an empirical series circuit model. We found that decrease photovoltage cells with increasing can be compensated improved electrochemical kinetics temperature. lead slight improvement integrated device. Under assumption 100% faradaic efficiency, maximum solar-to-hydrogen efficiency 9.5% 1 M KOH at 50 °C.
