摘要: Background: The purpose of this study was to determine the demographics, incidence, and results treatment periprosthetic fractures in a nationwide observational study. Methods: In years 1999 2000, 321 were reported Swedish National Hip Arthroplasty Register. All associated hospital records collected. At time follow-up, Harris hip score, health-related quality-of-life measure (the EuroQol-5D [EQ-5D] index), patient satisfaction used as outcome measurements. A radiologist performed radiographic evaluation. Results: Ninety-one patients, with mean age 73.8 years, sustained fracture after one or several revision procedures, 230 77.9 primary total replacement. Minor trauma, including fall floor, spontaneous main etiologies for injuries. high number patients had loose stem at (66% replacement group 51% group). Eighty-eight percent classified Vancouver type B; however, there difficulty preoperative categorization radiographically. There failure rate resulting low short mid-term prosthetic survival rate. sixty-six-month entire group, reoperation end point, 74.8% ± 5.0%. One factor risk implant design. Conclusions: On basis these findings, we believe that high-risk should have routine follow-up. Such could identify make intervention possible before occurred. Furthermore, recommend an exploration joint test stability type-B which is uncertain. Level Evidence: Prognostic Level II. See Instructions Authors complete description levels evidence.
