DNA reduplication during meiotic prophase in the oocytes of Carausius morosus Br. ( Insecta, Cheleutoptera )

摘要: Cytological investigations combined with cytophotometric DNA determinations on Feulgen stained squash preparations of ovarioles from third and fourth instar nymphs Carausius morosus revealed that during meiotic prophase a largely despiralized stage follows pachytene in this an extra reduplication the nuclear takes place (“pachyreduplication phase”). Meiotic then proceeds “tetrapachytene”, pachytene-like twice amount as compared to oocyte nuclei earlier stages, more than half somatic number elements, being probably autobivalents.
