摘要: Thai is known for exhibiting complex constructions with series of so-called verbs. GIVE-complex are one those that have been studied widely and repeatedly. This paper aims at investigating the syntax semantics in Thai. The study based on framework Role Reference Grammar. It has found terms semantics, hây 'give' many meanings. As a main verb construction, it semantic restrictions its subject shared argument while such not held when they occur some types constructions. property used as criteria identifying category hây. claims verb, but rather clause linkage marker. Schematic representation meaning proposed to account similarities. In syntax, proposes tests differentiating juncture nexus construction. can be analyzed core coordination, subordination, clausal cosubordination.
