Evaluating Occupational Health and Safety Management Strategy Success Factors for Small-Scale Contractors in Zambia

摘要: Small-scale contractors (SSCs) require management strategies in implementing occupational health and safety (OH&S) performance at projects to reduce accidents, injuries, fatalities diseases. Management strategy success factors have been acknowledged be of great benefit improving OH&S performance. Hence, the study sought assess for improvement by SSCs Zambia’s electricity industry. Using quantitative methods, data was collected using a survey questionnaire from 246 respondents representing firm owners, managers, project managers representatives industry 70.3% response rate. Descriptive inferential statistics were adopted as methods analysis exploratory factor analysis. After analysis, clustered into three construct categories within namely, compliance workplace processes, policy human resource development, leadership structure significant values ranging 0.513 0.972. The independent reliability tested Cronbach Alpha coefficient. exposed are well recognised most contributed body knowledge this mastery introducing It is recommended that these considered improve Zambia.
