摘要: Abstract Plasma and fecal progestagen patterns of female (n = 10) vicunas ( Vicuna vicuna ) were determined about 1 to 2 mo before until 4 after breeding. The caught wild penned at the Lauca National Park (Chile, 4470 m above sea level) for 7 (December June). samples during mating period (January March) collected 5 times weekly, once or twice weekly thereafter. analyzed by enzymeimmunoassays (EIA) using antibodies against progesterone 20α-dihydroprogesterone. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separations confirmed that 20α-dihydroprogesterone predominated in plasma, whereas feces several unconjugated, immunoreactive metabolites containing either a 20-oxo- 20α-OH-group occurred. coefficients correlation 409; P ng/ml > 100 ng/g, respectively). Mean plasma concentrations exceeded (P
