摘要: 1. Plasma sodium and chloride levels were determined in goldfish, Carassius auratus L., following acclimation to 5, 15, 25 35 degrees C. Carbonic anhydrase (Na+/K+)-stimulated ATPase activities of gill kidney also assayed at both temperature 41 2. Consistent with earlier findings this eurythermal species exhibits more variation plasma composition than do the stenothermal salmonids. Seasonal changes observed. 3. Despite differences detail overall pattern transport enzyme activity change was comparable that previously observed trout. The goldfish is, however, notable for high renal carbonic activity, presumably employs system does trout drive urinary recovery ions by H+:Na+ HCO3-:Cl- exchanges.
