Detection of vasodilator drugs through microwave spectroscopy of Au NP colorimetric probes using a microwave metallic photonic crystal-inspired resonant probe

摘要: Here, we report a low-cost, time-effective, easy-to-use, and novel analytical technique incorporating microwave spectroscopy of unmodified gold nanoparticles for the successful detection two vasodilator drugs – amlodipine besylate minoxidil. The sensor probe consists metallic photonic crystal, which is loaded into ground plane ∼λ/4 cylindrical line source. sensing scheme based on inducing aggregation in upon addition analyte drug, then performing different concentrations drugs. proposed method was validated concentration ranges 100–0.05 μM 20–0.625 mM minoxidil drugs, respectively, good linearity obtained calibrated data. scope reported user-friendly can be further enhanced by improvement limit specific favourable functionalization and/or surface modification suitable nanoparticle probes.
