Photodynamic destruction of human bladder carcinoma

摘要: Eleven human bladder carcinomata of different degrees differentiation were implanted in mice immunosuppressed by thymectomy, anti-thymocyte serum and x-rays. Seven grew well one poorly 3 produced mainly fibrous nodules the mice. Normal tissues grown from 4 other patients. The administration a haematoporphyrin derivative (HpD), followed 24 h later exposure to white light, caused marked destruction tumours but little or none normal tissues.
