摘要: AbstractThe plume characteristics of a pulsed plasma thruster (PPT) are considered necessary in the evaluation plume/spacecraft interactions. In this article, rarefied laboratory PPT is characterized. First, three-dimensional (3D) physical model with boundary conditions presented. Then, particle-in-cell and direct simulation Monte-Carlo hybrid methods employed to study flow field. The profiles density potential their variations versus time analysed. Also, computational results compared experiment data as well from existing two-dimensional (2D) simulations. comparisons show that can predict electron both parallel perpendicular planes.
