摘要: Despite a lower prevalence of opioid dependence among females, drug-related problems and risk factors such as prostitution have negative effect for women in treatment. This study was conducted with the purpose analyzing gender differences German trial on heroin-assisted treatment (HAT), which compared HAT methadone maintenance (MMT). Significant baseline were found, females showing greater extent mental distress. Differences retention outcome significant male patients, but no between options found female patients. Ongoing to influence drug use outcomes. Other criteria may need be stressed when assessing women. (Am J Addict 2010;19:312–318)
