摘要: European policies and instruments such as the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) many for nature landscape conservation in Europe have some decades been dominated by centralisation standardisation. This paper shows that this has led to neglect of contextual place-related approaches an unnecessarily high degree over-simplification. Recently, a reaction over-simplification, diversity specific character particularly stressed national strategies rural landscapes conservation, but processes simplification still continue. Using examples from mixed agriculture forestry Portugal, Slovenia Sweden, aims contribute understanding gap between centrally defined awareness management practices at local level. The three countries are situated outer fringes Europe, complementary with their different degrees urbanisation, forest distribution tree-richness agricultural landscapes. Furthermore, aim is show how driven identify factors contributing better use public through participatory process visions future. Systems classifications assessment often recognise these landscapes, so far achieved very little preservation locally values, nor they contributed development creation new future management. Such systems could much more if be opened adaptation on scale communication-led planning.
