摘要: This paper reports the results of a study conducted in Italy, within AGFORWARD (2014–2017) project, aimed at promoting innovative agroforestry practices Europe. Agroforestry offers means for maintaining food production whilst addressing some negative environmental effects intensive agriculture. aims to elicit positive and points view perceptions local stakeholders Italy relation three types systems. The Participatory Research Network Development was implemented workshops Sardinia, Umbria, Veneto regions, applied adopting common methodological protocol. Qualitative data were obtained using open discussions with on key issues, challenges innovations. Quantitative from completing questionnaires during workshops. A statistical analysis differences stakeholders’ production, management, environment socio-economy aspects. Although participants came different geographical socioeconomic contexts varied educational cultural backgrounds, professional groups (farmers, policy-makers researchers) generally shared similar benefits constraints. perceived as positive, those related management negative. process bringing together seemed be an effective identifying research gaps that need addressed order promote uptake maintenance agroforestry.
