摘要: Abstract Purpose To investigate the pattern of brain volume changes in patients with type II diabetes mellitus using voxel-based morphometry. Material and methods Institutional ethics approval informed consent were obtained. VBM based on high resolution three-dimensional T1-weighted fast spoiled gradient recalled echo MRI images was obtained from 16 (mean age 61.2 years) normal controls 59.6 years). All spatially preprocessed Diffeomorphic Anatomical Registration Exponentiated Lie algebra (DARTEL) algorithm, DARTEL templates made 100 subjects. Statistical parametric mapping generated analysis covariance (ANCOVA). Results An atrophy gray matter seen compared that involved right superior, middle, inferior temporal gyri, precentral gyrus, left rolandic operculum region. The loss white observed lobe frontal triangle ROI revealed significant lower than ( P Conclusion This work demonstrated mainly exhibited lobe, this finding supported could lead to subtle diabetic structural without dementia or macrovascular complications.
