摘要: Myocardin is a remarkably potent transcriptional coactivator expressed specifically in cardiac muscle lineages and smooth cells during postnatal development. shares homology with myocardin-related transcription factor-A (MRTF-A), which are broad range of embryonic adult tissues. Our previous results show that myocardin induces hypertrophy. However, the effects MRTF-A hypertrophy remain poorly understood. present work further demonstrates plays an important role inducing At same time, we find overexpression neonatal rat cardiomyocytes might induce cardiomyocyte Furthermore, expression induced phenylephrine, angiotensin-II, transforming growth factor-β-stimulated hypertrophy, whereas dominant-negative form or siRNA strongly inhibited upregulation genes response to hypertrophic agonists cardiomyocytes. studies indicate besides myocardin, play findings provide novel evidence for future explore roles MRTFs © 2011 IUBMB Life, 63(1):54–61, 2011.
