摘要: A review is presented of infections in the female genital tract caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. C. trachomatis primarily infects cuboidal epithelium cervix. Chlamydial cervicitis four to six time more common Europe than gonococcal cervicitis. The infection sexually transmitted and can cause urethritis male, endometritis salpingitis as well neonate. risk women with chlamydia has been estimated be about 1:10, i.e. same for gonorrhoea. asymptomatic half culture-positive cases. correlation between colposcopic follicular isolation reported. Examination serum specimens IgG antibody organism little use diagnosis Treatment macrolide antibiotics or tetracyclines eradicates organism.
