摘要: Ukraine (UA) faces broad needs for energy security enhancement, diversification, revitalization of agriculture, and improvements in the state environment. UA has large biomass-for-bioenergy potential, which can be leveraged to contribute local/regional self-sufficiency, rural development environmental improvement via fossil fuel substitution with local more sustainable biofuels. However, manner biomass utilization is emerging poorly documented its organizational basis not well understood. This work focuses on bioenergy from agricultural waste as an early emergent area. It applies cross-case analysis nine straw-fired installations UA. Analysis yields three straw-based frameworks organization action, including small-scale heat production, straw production municipal provision, medium-scale combustion district heating (DH).
