A Systematic Review of the Factors Influencing Ethnic Minority Women's Cervical Cancer Screening Behavior: From Intrapersonal to Policy Level.

摘要: BACKGROUND Cervical cancer can be prevented by effective screening using Papanicolaou tests, but the utilization rate is lower among ethnic minorities than in general population. Understanding factors influencing minorities' use of such aid design an appropriate intervention to increase their uptake rate. OBJECTIVE The aims this study were examine that influence minority women cervical and similarities differences associated across different groups explore interrelationships between identified. METHODS A literature search was conducted Ovid MEDLINE, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature Plus, Scopus, PsycINFO, PubMed. Furthermore, 1390 articles retrieved, which 24 met inclusion criteria. Critical appraisal performed means a quality assessment tool. findings summarized tabular narrative forms. RESULTS showed certain commonly affected women's behavior, including knowledge, attitude perceptions, physician's recommendation, care service, language, acculturation. Culture-related factors, religion, acculturation exhibited close with perceptions factor, resulting behavioral change. CONCLUSIONS review sheds light on how common or unique are these interact behavior. Further studies warranted develop test empirically comprehensive model leading better understanding multiple factors. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE should useful informing policy makers about resource allocation guiding development culturally relevant programs uptake.
