Flow field characteristics and coal dust removal performance of an arc fan nozzle used for water spray

摘要: Dust source that presents a ring shape is frequently observed in mining engineering. An arc fan nozzle used for water spray designed to improve the dust removal efficiency. Based on study of field characteristics an using volume fluid (VOF) analysis, it found section flow gradually increases, and its mean width impact zone 3.1 times free jet zone. After leaving guiding object, central axis velocity rapidly increases then decreases. dimensionless calculation formula speed near wall achieved. The relationship between geometric features structural parameters analysed. A test completed Fucun coal mine indicates efficiency obviously improved with use nozzles. Compared full cone nozzles before, average total increased by 34%, respirable 32%.
