摘要: It is shown that second-harmonic plasma emission partially polarized in the sense of ordinary mode magnetoionic theory only when Langmuir waves are confined to a small range angles (less than 30 deg) magnetic-field lines. Consequently, Suzuki and Sheridan's (1977) observations polarization harmonic Type III implies (at least cases reported) must be nearly one-dimensional. For one-dimensional distribution, degree frequency observation should related magnetic field. observed bursts, implied strengths strong enough for induced scattering cause become one-dimensional, which consistent with polarization. In other applications where might isotropic or loss-cone extraordinary predicted.
