摘要: Aims Carcinomas with lymphoid stroma arising in non-liver-organs have a better prognosis than other carcinomas and may be associated Epstein-Barr virus. We determined the frequency, characteristics of hepatocellular stroma. Methods results Histology livers 162 patients carcinoma, who underwent an orthotopic liver transplantation, was reviewed independently by three pathologists. Hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosed when all tumour samples contained more lymphocytes cells. virus detected in-situ hybridization polymerase chain reaction. Five (3.6%) were classified as All males. Cirrhosis present four/five patients. Serum alpha-fetoprotein levels normal. Inter-observer histological reproducibility good. Tumour cells did not contain The five alive without at years, although two them had adverse prognostic factors time transplantation (more one diameter > or = 40 mm). Only patient recurrence, but he survived 7.6 years post-transplantation. 5-year survival that types (P 0.04). Conclusions should considered distinct clinicopathological entity.
