摘要: Abstract The essential oils from bark and leaves of Cedrelopsis grevei Baill (Ptaeroxylaceae), an aromatic medicinal plant Madagascar, are widely used in folk medicine. These two commercially available have been examined separately by means GC–MS. oil constituents were identified according to their mass spectra relative retention indices determined on both polar non-polar stationary phase capillary columns. A total 55 compounds constituting 76.7% (bark) 91.6% (leaves) the volatile constituents. Both found a similar composition; however percentages some notably differed. contained β-pinene (17.1%), cis -sesquisabinene hydrate (12.8%) caryophyllene oxide (7.0%) as main components whereas leaf was largely dominated trans -β-farnesene (35.6%); (12.8%), (9.8%) ar-curcumene (8.6%) also present major components. As far we know, this is first report which therapeutic properties may be attractive for aromatherapy.
