摘要: Abstract A NE-plunging extension of the Corsican continental crust beneath Northern Apennines or Adriatic plate seems to contradict SW-dipping subduction during Apenninic orogeny. However, such an antithetic crustal structure can be generated if upper lithosphere i.e. crust, descending (Adriatic) is progressively split from continuously sinking lower lithosphere. Other examples in Alps reveal that synorogenic detachment portions (European) important additional feature collision.
