New understanding achieved from 2 years of Chinese ionospheric investigations

摘要: In the mainland of China, number ionospheric research groups is more than 10. Around 110 articles related to physics have been published during 2014–2015. this annual national report Committee on Space Research (COSPAR), we will outline some recent progresses in studies conducted by Chinese scientists past 2 years. These investigations cover (1) ionosphere responses geomagnetic activities; (2) climatology and structures; (3) couplings between ionosphere, plasmasphere lower atmosphere, possible seismic signatures ionosphere; (4) irregularities scintillation; (5) models, data assimilation simulations; (6) dynamics electrodynamics; (7) observation methodology technique; (8) planetary ionospheres. Such strengthen our ability monitor provide a better understanding states underlying fundamental processes, improve modeling, forecasting, applications.
