摘要: Despite most neotropical marsupials have arboreal habits, methodological and analytical difficulties usually hamper the study of vertical movements individuals. We used spool-and-line technique to record height incline movements, escape behaviour use refuges by opossum Micoureus paraguayanus (Tate, 1931) (Didelphimorphia, Didelphidae) in Atlantic Forest, Brazil. A new index for measuring intensity space individuals is introduced applied compare males females M. paraguayanus. Activity on ground was scarce were located exclusively above-ground. The lower stratum Females had greater than males, exploring more axis forest. results confirm habits demonstrate that differently dimension habitat. presented can be a valuable tool studying small mammals.
