摘要: Due to the paucity of behavioral data bearing on possible role efferent auditory system, an investigation some functions crossed olivocochlear bundle (OCB) has been undertaken, using cats. Behavioral correlates transection OCB were sought in such measures as absolute thresholds quiet, effective masking over differing noise levels and frequencies, temporary threshold shifts. The following results obtained after OCB: (1) Absolute unchanged; (2) amount at 1000 Hz 2000 increased (though shift was not statistically significant with small number subjects tested); (3) TTS did differ greatly for transected animals.
