摘要: Abstract In this study, micro Ti-alloyed AZ91 Mg alloys (AZ91 + 0.5wt.%Ti) have been investigated in order to clarify effectiveness of alloying and/or cooling rate on their corrosion properties. Molten were solidified under various rates by using four stage step mold. The microstructural investigations carried out scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Corrosion behaviors the evaluated means immersion and electrochemical polarization tests 3.5% NaCl solution. Results showed that Mg17Al12 (β) intermetallic phase microstructure alloy formed as a net-like structure. Ti addition has reduced distribution continuity β its morphology emerged fully divorced eutectic. Compared alloy, effect Ti-added grain size was less pronounced. When compared same conditions, notably high resistance. Electrochemical test results while Icorr values decrease with increase rate, much lower alloy. resistance sensitive towards not affected from conditions.
