Intrathecal metrizamide enhancement of the optic nerve sheath.

摘要: Abstract The subarachnoid space continues into the orbit as part of optic nerve sheath. This varies in size but is usually tiny. Occasionally, prominent (one case our experience) enhancement metrizamide computed tomography (CT) cisternography seen on transverse and coronal scans presumably because a patulous space. In five cases, we have appreciated minimal nerves with only by close comparison CT numbers base-line scans. One these patients had tiny meningioma removed successfully from sheath, return to normal vision previously blind eye.
