摘要: Maintaining a vibrant field of public administration requires ongoing efforts to link the worlds academic researchers and practitioners. We suggest that research itself, traditionally pursued by academics, is promising mechanism for making this connection. In particular, practitioners in can do together way enhances mutual learning, draws on strengths each create useful knowledge high quality, appreciates tolerates others' worlds, styles, contributions. Using promote connectedness means rethinking roles academics play generating field. our project, insights from assumptions practices narrative inquiry helped us identify three practitioners: as sources knowledge, producers active consumers who inform process.
