摘要: The rate of problem gambling is more than twice as high in adolescents it for adults (2%) (Ipsos MORI, 2009), and the younger age onset severe can be later life. It has been suggested that help-seeking problems uncommon amongst young people (Gupta & Derevensky, 2000; Hardoon, Gupta 2003) a number speculative reasons this have presented (Chevalier Griffiths, 2004; 2001). However to date there paucity empirical evidence which explore barriers treatment access gamblers (Suurvali, 2009). research aims were generate identify explain UK. main objectives i) Explore attitudes perceptions hold towards gambling; ii) Investigate potential may prevent from seeking treatment; iii) To understand salience identified gamblers. employed mixed methods approach, incorporating exploratory studies, indepth interviews with professionals (n=11) (n=6), study employing Q methodology help subjectivity opinion on (n=21).
