摘要: To evaluate heterosis, reciprocal effect, general and specific combining abilities for bodyweight, a diallel crossing experiment was conducted using three genotypes of Nigerian indigenous chickens: normal (N), frizzle (F) naked-neck (Na). A total 601 chicks hatched from all possible matings between the genotypes. The used in this study were foundation stock 90 chickens comprising 25 hens 5 cocks each mating ratio 1 male : females employed. Furthermore, data on bodyweight scrutinized with complete analysis after they had been corrected significant effects hatch birds least squares constants. results revealed that (BWT) significantly influenced by genetic groups frizzle-naked (FNa) having best performance at ages (4 - 20 weeks) except hatch, mean final BWT 1173 g weeks old. next performing its reciprocal, naked-frizzle (NaF), 1162 g. FNa gave estimates heterosis ability, while F NNa ability respectively. Therefore, genotype as sire Na dam provided most suitable combination improved BWT. use more owing to effect.
