摘要: Within most developed countries, rural residents are more likely to be obese and overweight compared their urban counterparts. Studies of specific communities have found that the limited availability healthy foods in community home as well individual characteristics preferences contribute poor diet overweight. The food environment is varied may affected by climate, regional cultural preferences, transportation access, remoteness among other factors. Given this diversity vulnerabilities residents, who low-income, substandard housing or low educational attainment counterparts, policy programmatic interventions should target needs communities.
