摘要: The rodent intestinal mucosa undergoes a remarkable morphogenesis as the crypt-villus axis is formed. Endoderm-mesenchymal interactions play critical role in this process. Epimorphin mesenchymal protein postulated to lung and skin morphogenesis. rat homologue, syntaxin 2, belongs family of integral membrane proteins that function vesicle docking fusion. To clarify its fetal gut morphogenesis, epimorphin expression was examined during ontogeny, an isograft model ischemic injury mucosal repair, adaptation after small bowel resection. Epimorphin/syntaxin 2 mRNA levels were increased lumen formation villus remained elevated first wk birth then declined at weaning. In situ hybridization showed epimorphin/syntaxin gestational day 14 ( G14 ) G15 cells lamina propria formation. repair isograft. contrast, early stages resection, suppressed adapting gut. We conclude cell-specific temporal patterns models used study suggest axis.
