摘要: Abstract By using the radioactive isotopes Ar 37 and 39 it was possible to measure diffusion of argon in natural samples sanidine, phonolithe augite, as well a Bohemian tectite (moldavite) synthetic sylvine. The measurements moldavite sanidine resulted straight line when log D / 2 plotted against 1/ T ; results other material same graph were two lines cutting each other. boundary layer theory applied by Wrage solve this problem made show that resulting from one examined represent volume diffusion. second augite however, does not obey these laws In case another mechanism has be assumed, probably based on lattice imperfections. For all substances studied values for at room temperature are −24 (sec −1 ). Thus loss caused is so small potassium-argon ages materials need corrected. imperfections would between 6.10 −18 2.10 −28 This means losses which may have considerable losses. investigations proved again dating mica best suitable material, whereas feldspars rocks less suited salts used exceptional cases only.
