摘要: Further empirical data are presented to evaluate the method of detecting pollution-induced disturbance in marine benthic communities by a comparison distribution numbers individuals among species with biomass species. A suggested abbreviated name for technique is ABC (abundance comparison). Application new shows that it sensitive indicator natural physical and biological as well over both spatial temporal scales. Changes configuration plots during ecological succession reverse those resulting from increased pollution levels. The should also be applicable intertidal sediments, where sediment waves does not appear preclude its utility.
