摘要: Light microscope observations on dividing, mitotic nuclei in the basidiospores and hyphae of Puccinia striiformis Westd. indicated that somatic nuclear division is similar this species to reported other rust fungi. During early stages nucleolus extruded a spindle-pole-body divides into two before chromatin condensation. The had spiral arrangement when condensed. Chromosome rings interchromosomal attachments were seen some cells. When was its most condensed state three chromosomal bodies usually visible. These separated produce six daughter chromatids. From these it suggested P. has haploid chromosome number three. In aneuploid may be present. diameter immediately after mitosis approximately half original nuclei.
