摘要: In the Melle-Boinot process for alcohol production, centrifuges are normally used yeast recovery at end of a batch fermentation. Centrifuges expensive equipment and represent an impressive part costs in industries. present work, alternative method using less was studied. Instead centrifuges, separated from fermented broth by filter aid filtration, followed separation hydrocyclones. A stainless steel plate-and-frame filtration area 1.14 m2 two 30 mm hydrocyclones, which Bradley Rietema recommended proportions, were this work. The perlite. Tests direct hydrocyclone proved to be completely unfeasible, since maximal reduced total efficiency obtained only 1%. When hydrocyclones separate perlite resuspended cake, underflow as high 95% when with diameter 3 mm. To show feasibility proposed new recovery, complete cycle experiments, included fermentation, separation, fermentation recycled cells, performed good results.
