摘要: Twenty-three cats with stable chronic renal failure (CRF) were examined in a prospective study of the effects feeding veterinary diet restricted phosphorus and protein or without an intestinal phosphate binding agent (aluminium hydroxide) on plasma parathyroid hormone (PTH) concentrations. Fifteen accepted diet; compliance was not achieved remaining eight (due to limited intake by owner resistance change). Feeding associated significant fall PTH concentrations five months, only two requiring aluminium hydroxide therapy. The maximum decrease concentration change 1,25 dihydroxycholecalciferol concentration. Euparathyroidism cats. Conversely, CRF fed proprietary diets over same time period, mean did significantly; indeed, seven cats, increased. Dietary therapy alone combination binders does reduce and, when effective control is achieved, can be normalised.
