摘要: The study analysed the effect of shelterwood-cut strips on outermost crown profiles and characteristics naturally regenerated Pinus tabuliformis saplings in northeastern China. A total 49 from 30 uncut were collected. Nonlinear quantile regression was used to develop profile model for strips. value suitable describing two types selected using nonparametric boundary regression. difference morphologies between compared. results showed that with same diameter at breast height, radii strip larger than those within range 0.2-1.0 relative depth into crown. largest radius inflection points sapling crowns crowns. volume small saplings, decreased increasing size. early stage a greater growth rate strips, but their slowed over long term according branch-length annual growth. present provides reference forest management strategy decision making promoting natural regeneration.
