Investigation of the tracking and erosion resistance of cured liquid silicone rubber containing ureido-modified MQ silicone resin

摘要: Ureido-modified MQ silicone resin (DIPUPES-MQ) was prepared by the hydrolytic condensation of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), (γ-diisopropylureidopropyl) triethoxysilane (DIPUPES), hexamethyldisiloxane and divinyltetramethyldisiloxane. Subsequently, DIPUPES-MQ employed to improve resistance tracking erosion addition-cure liquid rubber (ALSR), it showed that could significantly enhance as well mechanical properties ALSR. When content 3.75 phr, all test samples passed inclined plane (IP) at 4.5 kV. The thermogravimetry (TG), thermogravimetry-Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (TG-FTIR) FTIR results striking enhancement in ALSR probably ascribed decomposition ureido groups. In pyrolysis process, groups generate isocyanic acid hinder “unzipping” depolymerization through reacting with Si-OH groups, so amount cyclic dimethylsiloxanes inducing intense continuous dry-band arcs decreased.
