摘要: Abstract Noted as one of the fastest growing capital cities among developing countries, Kuala Lumpur faces a tremendous threat being greatly exposed to problems heavy metal pollution in its air, water, soil, sediment and limited vegetation. Three factors enhance increasing deposition metals Lumpur: geographical location; rising importance an economic industrial center; ever automobile population. This paper, based on cumulative study over period several years, examines various environmental sinks, taking into consideration underlying perspectives. The 2 aspects emphasized are: (a) ground analysis relating air city proper; (b) speciation studies. analyzed were from samples sediment, biological materials taken at chosen sites city, using atomic absorption spectrophotometer neutron activation analysis. are considered their chemical behaviour view-point, crosslines made with other parameters measured including biophysical indices.
