摘要: Hexaazatriphenylene-hexacarboxy triimide 1 was synthesized and fully characterized using NMR, IR, UV/vis, fluorescence spectroscopy. DSC polarization microscopy showed compound to be liquid crystalline over a large temperature range, while its specific mesophase (Colho) could determined via X-ray scattering experiments. Although the first reduction potential of not measured directly, two closely related reference compounds 4 5 featured low potentials, suggesting suitability as an acceptor material in photoinduced electron-transfer processes. The latter confirmed absorption spectroscopy on mixed films poly(3-hexylthiophene).
