摘要: Background & Aims Migrants born in countries where hepatitis B is endemic are a risk group for chronic virus (HBV) infection. Treatment options have improved, but due to the asymptomatic nature of HBV infection, majority patients remain unidentified. Methods In 2009, campaign targeting Chinese community was held city Rotterdam, The Netherlands. combined disease awareness activities with free testing at outreach locations. Chronically infected were referred specialist care based on referral guideline. Before and after campaign, knowledge measured through questionnaires convenience sample target population (n=285 n=277). Results period 3months, 13 took place 1090 migrants tested HBV. Forty-nine percent had serological signs past or recent infection 8.5% (n=92) chronically infected. Thirty-eight (n=35) evaluation by these, 15 started antiviral treatment within 1year follow-up. 55% answered correctly 6 more out 10 items. Knowledge positively associated educational level. After an increase observed participants low levels education. Conclusions could be reached on-site well accepted. A high prevalence found initiation successful.
