摘要: Objective: To analyze and relate the registration of information content checklists with objectives Safe Surgery Saves Lives Program. Methods: Documentary study 257 from orthopedic surgeries performed between 2011 2012 in a Brazilian hospital. The 12,629 items related to surgical safety were entered into an Excel spreadsheet analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Results: 99.8% checklist checked records showed, through documental checks, no guarantee elements relative correct site (objective 1), blood loss 4), allergic reaction 5) retention instruments/compresses 7), identification specimens 8) communication 9). Conclusion: high adherence completing allowed potential risks arising unconfirmed actions be identified, requiring seeking qualify care.
