摘要: Abstract Estimating fishing mortality, including initial and delayed is necessary to assess potential effects of catch release tournament events. Previous studies retaining angler-caught fish are useful in understanding mortality but have associated limitations. As an alternative studies, we estimated daily apparent survival rates largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides using a modified Cormack-Jolly-Seber model Program MARK test for the duration identify important covariates affecting survival. Multiple monotonic trends were evaluated acute (2, 3, 4, or 7 d) chronic (15 30 hypotheses. The most supported models revealed trend following capture no support mortality. Largemouth decreased with increases water temperature number Combined, these factors resulted up 90% cumulative at temperatures 18.8 °C individuals captured five Our results confirm high tournaments. Using mark-recapture data understand can be valuable tool managing highly fished systems.
